Hi. How are you feeling now? 3 weeks ago I have been diagnosed with atypical Meniere's disease also called cochlear hydrops. Yes, I also have been been hearing this buzzing, ringing noise which really drives me crazy, plus the fullness and pressure inside the ear, and hearing loss (so far no vertigo) The Dr. said my right ear can't hear 30 decibels, and when the ringing is very loud, I think I also can't hear on my left. I wonder if this thing will stop. The ringing irritates me. My ENT had already prescribed 2 week course of prednisone and also I have been taking a diuretic to help me get rid of the extra fluid in my inner ear (which I hope will) but its been 3 weeks of ringing, fullness, pressure inside the ear and hearing loss (no vertigo). sometimes though 2-3 hours i could hear better and the ringing stops. but after that it will come back with a vengeance. louder ringing, more pressure.then I get disoriented, and kinda confused. I also have cut down my salt/sodium and no caffeine. I don't know if it is working.
How do you feel now? any medications? what are the tests you have had?View Thread
