Whenever I open my mouth there is always a popping/snapping/clicking kind of sound that happens at some point. It's very annoying and audible to others when in a quiet room. It also occurs when I exhale out of my mouth. Basically, whenever my soft palate raises. It sounds like it could be two surfaces pulling off one another. I definitely know it is not my TMJ making this sound but I wonder if it is related to the fact that I have been wearing a repositioning splint for about a year and so I have not closed my mouth completely in that long. As a result, I wonder if it could be that some surfaces aren't fully lubricated. Anybody have any ideas? Would appreciate whatever feedback you can give me.View Thread
