I have a similar issue just to the right of my uvula. Bump about the size of a pencil eraser and no pain associated with it. I've had my bump for several months now and have also made an appointment for an ENT.
I will post another reply to you if I hear back from anyone with any answers and will also post a reply after my Dr. appointment with results. If you have heard anything, please share what you have been told. I hope we both receive good information.View Thread
About a year ago, I noticed a red bump in the back of my mouth, on the far right side of my soft palate, to the right of my uvula. The bump is red and shiny, is slightly raised, and is a little smaller than a pencil eraser. No other colors are present and it does not look like a blister or a pimple. On a visit to my dentist, I asked him to look, and he suggested I see a doctor. Then, I visited my doctor for my yearly exam and he told me that he had no idea and that I should see an ENT. Recently, I am noticing that this one red bump has grown a bit and looks like two bumps close together. There is also a possibility of another bump a few centimeters below as well, but there is a fold at that point of my mouth and I cannot be sure. They do not hurt and I haven't noticed any other physical issues that could be a part of this. I did experience some tightness in my throat last year that I attributed to stress and I do feel more thirsty now than in the past, but no other noticeable symptoms or changes.
I have decided to schedule an appointment with an ENT but with no insurance, the costs are pretty scary. If anyone has any ideas what could be happening here, I would appreciate hearing them. I have searched through forums and websites but have not found anyone who has an issue similar to mine. Most people's bumps are new and or painful, but I've had mine for a long time and I can't feel them. Any help?View Thread
