Went for my regular check up and was asked if I wanted the pneumonia vaccine. I had a cold at that time and was told it was ok to receive the shot. My cold subsided quickly, but 11 days later I started to feel feverish. Then my chest got congested causing me to cough a lot with very green thick mucus. Doctor prescribed Azithromycin. The next day I couldn't hear out of my left ear. Went back to the doctor after several days and now I'm taking Amox-clav 875mg. Doctor told me again receiving the vaccine is safe when you have a cold. But in my heart of hearts I know I got sicker from that vaccine. I am hoping my hearing loss will turn around. I've never had a hearing problem before this incident.View Thread
