I experienced a severe and painful bowel movement and sometime after i started having pain while sitting i told the doctol after it became unbearable and he suggested a colonoscopy which was reported as normal. i informed my doctor the pain had gotten worse he referred me to a surgeon who prescribed a salve ( nitro based) to relieved the tightness which didn't work so i opted for a sphinxterotomy which revealed a fissure and a fistula which was not found during the colonoscopy. afterward i could go to the bathroom again (it had gotten hard to even pass gas) but i am still in severe pain espesially when i sit and taking a pain pill everyday and when i feel the back of my butt it feels as though there is a lump internally. can you help ?View Thread
QUESTION FOR THE DOCTOR! i once had a severe urgency to go to the bathroom and i experienced the most painful bowel movement ever. sometime afterwards I had problems with thin stools and not being able to go to the bathroom at all and pain so severe i could not sit for any period of time .my doctor suggested a colonoscopy which revealed nothing and i then was told to see a surgeon i told him of the symptoms and he prescribed a salve (nitro based) which didn't work. next he performed a sphinxterotomy which revealed a fissure and a fistula. (which was not found during the colonoscopy?) he said he had never encountered a problem where the area was so tight and contracted. this was june 16th! I am still in severe pain and taking a pain pill daily. i t feels as though there is a internal lump in my rectum when i do a self exam(externally of course) can you help?View Thread
