How are you feeling and (if you can) eat more veggies and give up meat, eggs, dairy. I started October and feel SO much better and recovered from the Colectomy in days.View Thread

My husband stayed at home the 8 months he lived after a brutal (non-productive) surgery. He had little pain, the inability to eat and weight loss were the most terrible. We got along better than any time during our marriage because it was all about him and whether or not we could care for him. We did.
Do you have someone with you? Are you able to eat? Eat vegan! I started that last October and just came came through colon cancer (Rt Colectomy) well! Have hope and stay in touch.

You did so well to make it 8 years!
I was diagnosed with colon cancer 2/3/12 and cured by a GOOD surgeon 3/2/12. So, my advice? Take care of your self and yes, he is gone and you will ALWAYS miss him. Life will move on. The hard part for me was/is doing new wonderful things and not be able to share. We were married 38, should have been longer.View Thread
