I am recovering from colorectal cancer surgery. I had approximately 6 or more inches of my colon removed in October for a precancerous polyp, and that much or more in April to remove a cancerous tumor located at my rectum. The Dr. was able to reconnect my colon back, but I had to have an ileostomy to allow the colon to heal. I have now had my colon resection surgery, but I am now having issues with my digestive system. I understand that my colon will have to relearn it's job. Please help me with foods to avoid and to reduce bowel incontinence, and gas.View Thread
