What's Happening Now
This year in February I started getting serious chest congestion and severe coughing. I had a lot of difficulty getting the thick mucus out and could not sleep well. I was taking Mucinex, flonaise, and using Symbicort inhaler everyday. I also had to use cough drops almost all the time. I got upset stomach and dry mouth from all that medication.
I breathed with such difficulty that I was short of breath just from talking and walking from the family room to the bedroom.
I was suffering so much that I went on the internet to search for anything that may help. I read about Holy Basil, Astragalus, and Yin Chiao and I got all three on April 10th and started taking all three right away. I would not have believed this if I did not witness it myself: I was feeling better the second day. And I felt good enough to stop taking Mucinex, Flonaise, and Symbicort immediately. Not even one week later, today I only still experience symtoms of allergy, but my chest congestion and severe coughing are completely gone. I am also rarely short of breath now. I still can't quite believe it but I am feeling wonderful and have not noticed any side effects. I will continue to take all these three herbs. I would suggest to anyone with chronic bronchitis to try same.View Thread

Finally, each P90X training session is actually at the very least sixty minutes in length. As stated before, about three times weekly you can be working on energy exercises. Immediately after each and every of those sessions you may implement the Ab Ripper. Abdominal exercise might be a quarter-hour added to a person's primary physical exercises. Each physical exercises get about sixty minutes in length. The remaining cardio workouts are nearly fifty min each one.
With the Insanity work out routine, just what anyone see is precisely what you get. There is no additional price for additional equipment. Insanity training strategy will not consentrate on strength training that much.View Thread

Hello. I am a researcher at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and am conducting a study to determine the impact online support groups have in empowering people to understand and control COPD or to help others in their fight against COPD. If you have not already done so, please consider taking a moment to complete the anonymous survey located at
www.surveymonkey.com/s/LP857GP
This questionnaire is comprised of statements about your participation in an online COPD support group, such as those available on Facebook or Yahoo. The purpose of this study is to investigate how participation in such online groups or communities empowers you to understand and control COPD. There are no right or wrong answers, and all responses will be treated confidentially.
It will take approximately 15 minutes to complete this survey. Upon completing the survey, you will be eligible to receive a $5 Starbucks Gift Card as well as a summary of this study's findings.
The deadline for the random drawing to receive one of ten $25 American Express Cards has been extended until August 15, 2010.
Your feedback is critical to the success of online support groups such as this one and can go a long way in helping to understand how to support those that are coping with this terrible disease. Thank you for your time.

This food pyramid was developed for folks with COPD. It helps maintain proper body weight and provides plenty of anti-oxidants to
help scrub away free radicals that damage our lungs so badly.
It is also very heart friendly as well.

Having great friends, a strong marriage and children who love you may be just as important to living a long life as something like quitting smoking, a new study finds.
Researchers from Brigham Young University have found that people who have lots of close relationships have better odds of living a long life than those who are lonely.
The study, which appears in the July issue of PLoS Medicine, found that strong social connections improve our odds of survival by 50 per cent. In fact, the protective effect of strong social relationships exceeds the influence of other early-death risk factors, such as:
- not exercising
- obesity
- smoking 15 cigarettes a day
- being an alcoholic

Having COPD also means we should try to eat 5 or 6 small meals a day and limit carbohydrate consumption in the evening.
So lets see some ideas for breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks.
TIP: if your Doc allows, eat a nice ripe banana every day to keep your potassium levels up.
Be Blessed,
