There are reliable blood tests for herpes for men, you are thinking of HPV the virus that causes warts, which does not have testing available. To the OP: what blood test did they use to test your husband? If they used the IGM I would suggest your husband take the blood test again, make sure they use the IGG type specfic test, the IGM is useless and I don't know why Dr's continue to use it. I find it strange that the swab came back negative (if he is indeed positive), how old was the sore when he had it swabbed?View Thread
Look up the cycle of abuse, it's classic in relationships like this. It's how they keep you hanging on, hoping for the good times to return and stay, but instead they only come and go. With the lows getting lower each time.
Go be with your Mom for while and take the time to be alone.View Thread
Sorry but it's not on the genitals 'most' of the time, it's more like 4-5% of the time. There are plenty of discordant couples, including my husband and I, who have been together for numerous years without transmission.
Also, if you read her entire post you would have noted that they both have genital herpes now, so the need to be careful is no longer needed.
To the OP: try the link FCL gave you, there are plenty of knowledgable people on that board on this subject.View Thread
FYI not everyone believes in marriage. Clearly there are issues here that need to be resolved before a ring is even considered. A peice of metal will not magically make all the problems or other girls go away and become all puppies and butterflies.View Thread
