I think any information that's helped others may help someone else. We should all know that what works for one doesn't always work for another. But the board is here for us if we want to try something that worked for someone else. I got the Lee Swanson stuff after reading one of your posts. It didn't help me at the time, things were to far along. Maybe had I tried it yrs ago? But I am and was willing to try something anything to help. I still take the Probiotic, figure it can't hurt. I also, tried a couple of deits I learned about from this board. But again, things were to far along for them to make a difference. I wouldn't be better today if it wasn't for the friends I've met here and the stories good and bad.View Thread
It's very strange how this all works. I have Crohns, in remision after surgry. But I used to eat something and I'd be fine but next time I ate it I was sick as a dog. Pizza and cake and ice cream fine one time not the next. I drank coke-cola like it was the only thing I could drink, when I quit drinking it, nothing changed. Except I slept better....lol Now I can eat and drink anything. Nothing bothers me. except vegs raw or cooked. So I feel each one of use has to figure it out. The diet might be the trick for some, but others not so much.
Hannah, I'm so impressed with you and your courage! If I was your Mom I'd be so proud of you!!! Good luck keep posting as it means so much to so many out here!!View Thread
Hi, I was on Humira about 2 months. I had some weight gain but had a lot of problems with my legs and arms, could seem to walk far or lift easy. My Dr. took me off it. As it wasn't doing anything for my Crohns and was having those side effects. Didn't have acne.
Hope this helps, doesn't hurt to call the Dr and tell him what's going on.View Thread
Hannah, we are all here for you and worry about you. But like Mindy said at least you are in the hospital where they can watch everything. You'll be back on your feet in no time! You are a tough cookie!!View Thread
Not sure why they do that. They did that in my case also. Told me that Mayo had better equipment. I felt better that the Gi was willing to send my labs to Mayo. Not a bad thing as far as I was concerned. Don't read to much into it!
I'm so sorry that you didn't get the news you were hoping for. Hopefully the prednisone will put you back to feeling better! Then it's more waiting and nothing anyone will say can help with that. But remember all the things you have that are good in your life! Husband that loves and understands, children that love you! Hang on to the good things Mindy!View Thread
Call your GI today, maybe you can get in earlier!! I'm concerned that with all the pain and bathrooming, you are putting off going because you have your appointment Thurs. But maybe you'll need to go to the ER. You know something different is going on, you know your body best. So please don't wait if you need to go in GO! Keep us up date! We worry!View Thread
