My Story:
My name is Meg, and I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in July 2007, two weeks before my wedding day. My husband is a pastor, and we are currently residing in beautiful and quiet South Dakota (my home state) where my husband is serving his first church and loving it. We are very near my family which is wonderful because I haven't been able to travel this past year.

Within the past five years, I've lived in Fort Wayne, IN and Pittsburgh, PA. We hope to stay put in SD for a very long time! We've both completed graduate school although my once-successful career as a hospital deaconess has been put on hold due to physical illness. We don't have children yet for the same reason, though we would like several. I am currently an extremely grateful and somewhat bored housewife without so much as a cat. :)

While not working, I enjoy writing, cooking, baking, and photography, and I used to enjoy running and weight-lifting when I was healthier. I have degrees in Psychology and Theology. My current goal is to get back into shape mentally and physically after a very long year of illness and personal loss (I lost both grandparents unexpectedly this winter while my husband and I were living in Pittsburgh, and I wasn't well enough to make my grandmother's funeral in SD).

A thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me. I begged the Lord to take it, but He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you. -- St. Paul
