I wanted to bump this up for more response from our community members.
I do not have UC to be able to comment on symptoms, but do know you deserve to feel good. Does your specialist have partners or someone on call for him/her that could see you before your doctor returns.
Hey there members! We're compiling a list of all the events and milestones that our members like to keep track of in their lives. For instance, most of us like to keep track of birthdays of family and friends. Parents like to keep a record of when their children hit milestones, such as rolling over, first words, walking, cutting a tooth. And, many of us keep track of our medications, treatments and doctors visits. Members of our Breast Cancer community like to share with others when they have been "Cancer Free" for six months, a year, two years, and on.
Think about what you like to keep track of and milestones you like to share with your family and friends and post them here in this thread. I bet you all keep track of a lot of things our staff would never think of!
So glad you updated us Mindy! Hopefully the infection and incisions will continue to heal!
I can't believe they so quickly switched you from dilaudid to percocet. I really wish more could be done to manage and gauge pain!
Get back on the heavy duty stuff, swelling (from surgery, incisions, cleaning out infection) which causes pain usually will peak the 24 - 48 period after surgery. The meds from anesthesia are leaving your body, so the next round of pain meds need to begin working. That 24-48 period is crucial for evaluating pain management.
Stay put and stay comfortable, we are thinking of you, ElizabethView Thread
I thought I'd pipe in to give a suggestion on sinus remedies.
When I get even a slight cold, it blossoms into sinus infection, bronchitis and asthma. I was taking prednisone and using 2 different inhalers 3 - 4 times a year.
Over the summer it started again, I asked my doctor for other suggestions and tried a Neti Pot . I was amazed at how quickly it cleared things up for me, and used it again in the Fall when getting cold/sinus symptoms.
Check with your doctor and ask if your symptoms may benefit from a Neti Pot. BTW, I bought a cheap store brand one.
