Absolutely!! Yogurt is the best. I'm currently attending medical school, have Crohn's and UC, and have done quite a bit of personal research on it. You might have seen in the news lately how parasites or worm eggs help calm Crohn's and UC flares. Well, Yogurt does the same, just to a lesser degree. The easiest, non-nerdy sounding way to explain it is that it gives your immune system "something to play with" besides your own intestine. Don't give up on eating yogurts, and try a couple different brands. Some may not help and will leave you feeling the same, others will almost be as good and fast acting as prednisone its self. This is due to the strains individual companies use and how well these cultures are preserved as they make their way to super market! Good luck! (Just an FYI, the incidence of undiagnosed lactose intolerance in Crohns and UC patients is pretty high. Throw a lactaid in with your daily yogurt regimine and you'll do great!) Let me know how it goes.View Thread
