My Story:
My name is Brandi, I am a 26 year old mother of 2. I have a daughter who is 7 named Kylie and son who is 2 named Zeke.

I first started experiencing severe abdominal pain, diarrhea and nausea in 2008 that resulted in numerous tests but never resulted in a diagnosis… I was told I had a stomach virus and it eventually went away. When my symptoms started again around October of last year I assumed it was the same and decided to "suck it up" and just deal with it. Around February I started noticing that not only was I experiencing constant diarrhea but I had also started having blood in my stools so naturally I googled it… and freaked out when the first thing that popped up was colon cancer. Lol

I went to a GI specialist who was cold, uncaring and did not seem worried at all that I was bleeding and told me to come back for a colonoscopy nearly a month later. I called around and found an amazing dr who got me in for the scope the next week, did biopsies, diagnosed me with Crohn's disease and has treated the flare up and I now have an appointment this Wednesday to discuss treatment options for me.
