My Story:
I'm 24 and I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 2006 after struggling for a couple of years to get a diagnosis. I've tried many, many medications with little result. I had a total colectomy (removal of entire colon and rectum) with ileostomy placement in 2010, and I had my ilesotomy reversed in 2011. I now have a J-pouch and I've been since diagnosed with "irritable pouch syndrome" on top of the Crohn's Disease.

I received my license to practice as a registered nurse in July of 2013. I currently work at a 250 bed hospital in a small town in Missouri. I am currently pursuing a bachelors degree in nursing. I enjoy my pets- a longhaired dachshund and a Siamese-mix cat, baking/cake decorating, reading, movies, video games... Typical nerd stuff.
