While at first I was appalled, I thought about some of my friends when I was younger who had dark hair and were embarrassed by hair in certain places.
What do you think? How young is too young for certain types of beauty procedures?View Thread
I just read a story about a guy who threatened his former classmates via Facebook as they planned their 20-year high school reunion. 38-year-old Jason Carroll Moss says he was bullied throughout high school, and made the threat because he wanted to deter the bullies from harrassing him at the reunion.
Do you think that the folks you went to high school are the same as they were then or have changed as they have grown in life?
Have you changed? How?

It seems that lots of businesses like to consider their employees part of an entertainment package to bring in customers. Hooters girls have always been required to wear the short shorts and t-shirts as part of their work "uniform". Employees at Disney have strict rules that go as far as what type of facial hair they can grow.
When do you think the "uniform" has crossed the line?
Are companies within their rights to require their employees to wear what suits the business best?

WebMD's Kristin Hammam recently joined the First Lady, along with a group of other representatives from online women's outlets, in that very White House kitchen garden to discuss her book and her passion to get Americans to adopt better nutrition habits .
However, there are many folks out there who don't think Mrs. Obama should be telling anyone how to eat. Afterall, where does her expertise lie?
Tell us what you think: What (if anything) qualifies the First Lady to talk about better nutrition for Americans or share her suggestions for healthier food choices?

It got me thinking, and I wondered what our members would have to say about it.
Do you think this is a separate type of disorder (possibly exacerbated by all the reality TV) or just a version of a basic mental disorder, like delusional disorder , that has already been documented? Why or why not?
Do you think new mental disorders happen based on changes in society and technology?

May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month , and this story brings to light the risks of tanning and particularly using tanning beds.
Tanning beds seem to attract teenagers as they strive to bronze up for prom or for the upcoming beach season. And, according to the Skin Cancer Foundation, melanoma is the 2nd most common cancer among 15 - 29-year-olds. Scary.
Many states allow children over 14 to use tanning beds with parental consent.
What do you think of tanning beds? Should they be better regulated? Should children be able to use them, even WITH parental consent?
How have you discouraged your own teens from using tanning beds?
