I think breast feeding is the most natural one may do for their baby. Breast feeding may be done anywhere at anytime, and it may be done modestly. We were endowed with breasts for a function, nursing our babies. It is very rewarding and the most natural best we may do for our babies. Those who cannot do breast feeding, this is why formula was invented. I am very happy to see nursing Mother's, good for those who have the will and health to provide their babies with breast milk.View Thread
Do not apoligize for the rant, see your point, and do agree with your thoughts. Yes, where is the real America today. When it cmes to voting we need leaders who our truly for the people not against the people, this is something both parties need to learn.View Thread
I think Madonna is looking very well for her age of 53, and she is in show biz, so why not! She takes care of her body, and looks much better then the huge obese population across America from six years old to 80.View Thread
Dear Dr. Olivia: I think it is a superb idea for the city to sell only 16 ounces or less.
Truly I think surgared drinks should be cut down in all venues, and all grocery stores and wherever beverages our sold.
I am a retired nurse, HBO recently has been airing a program from the CDC on the huge affect of obesity hitting America.
Truly I agree with the CDC, the epidemic of obesity is killing America, and very, very, devasating to me the obesity and lack of excercise in our children.
The sugar epidemic started in my generation, and the companies in all foods and drinks can cut down on the sugar and hiddden sugars to help America be more healthy.
America health care world is not going to be able to handle all the medical bills each family has with all the diseases obesity brings on to each human life.
I do not speak about this lightly, I have lost sixty five pounds myself, I am a retired nurse, excercise and eat smaller portions. I envision a tomb stone when the graving of sugar comes upon me, it is a tough way to keep in control, but it works for me.
The physician from the CDC starts his speech out with begging America to become aware and wake up from this great obesity problem in America.
Unfortunately our brain does send out a craving for all addictions, and we must teach ourselves to have control, and it is possible.View Thread
Hi Hacwriter: I was employed as a nurse and am now retired, my hospital provided for free programs to help smokers quit. I know it is very difficult to quit smoking, my Father quit smoking at age sixty four and started smoking at age nine. He felt like godizilla for about six months and he made it. He lived to be eighty five, and he told me throughout his years he would have the urge for a smoke. He told me he would try and think about something else, he fought the battle his whole life and was successful.
I do understand your battle, and good luck to you!!View Thread
Smokers do not have the right to smoke in public places, feel so relieved no smoking in public places. Smoking is the number one cause of breast cancer, and second hand smoke creates as much disease as first hand smoking. A hospital near me has posted as of February 2012 do not apply for a job if you are a smoker and if you state you do not smoke you will be tested for nicotine and if test is positive you will not be hired.
Smoking in your own home is poor choice also, you are inflicting the heath of your loved ones.
Know smokers have smoked in the house with their asthmatic children and wonder why the children diagnosed with asthma are being taken to the emergencey room due to their smoking.
Also smoking is a very expensive habit, also creates greater health care costs to all of us. Smokers are constantly inflamming their vascular system destroying their own heath.
Ten percent of th population who smoke produce a natural enzyme in their gut and will not become ill, other ninety percent will become ill.
Is the public aware when you are a smoker and go smoke around a diabetic person you may actually cause them to have a heart attack.
Persons who have tremendous allergic systems may break out in hives, cause of migrain headaches, and many other issues with their health.
I know addictions are hard to break, but it can be done. My Father started to smoke at age nine, he went cold turkey at age sixty four, he stopped smoking due to my Mother's health.
Smoking in your own home may be fine if you are the only one in it. I live in old quad of homes, four living sections. I become very ill due to smokers. The homes were built in 1910, I have ask the smokers to please open a window as they were destroying my health. Disrespectful people feel they are in their own home and have no respect for their health or anyone else.
Employers are begining to refuse hiring smokers, smokers add a great deal of cost to all of us with all the increasing health care costs.
My sister states she would need to be locked up not to smoke. She has COPD from smoking and will not admit this to her self, and she is also a diabetic, it makes me very sad because she is going to suffer a horrible death.
Hi Everyone: Agree with Bobby, in my profession we were not allowed to wear any scents as it would trigger the asthmatics, sinus, and allergic patients. Many people feel allergy is a bunch of baloney. I can assure you it isn't! My twin sister must live a bubble and does best at home. It is so sad when one is so allergic because much of life cannot be lived. So happy many h hospitals today have all private rooms, there is nothing worse than becoming ill from a inconsiderate person. Also smokers, the scent lingers on the clothes and causes persons with breathng illness to become very ill. A local hospital in my area as the month of February will not hire anyone who smokes. The message in the newspaper is loud and clear-do not need to apply if you are a smoker. I live in a old cluster of homes, and am asthmatic and very allergic, thankfully my master bed room is not attached to the rest of the homes. The smoke comes into the basements and up into the first level. I must suffer more ill health because of inconsiderate smokers. Sorry world when persons have no respect or consideration for others. My niece suffers with Idiopathic Anphalactic Angioedema. This means the cause is unkown on her allergic triggers. She especially ask a vendor if anything was on the coffee beans, he said no. She drank her, she thought, bland coffee, she went into a IA attack. Her friends took her to the local hospital and she was treated, when her health recovered she went back to the vendor, told him what occured, discussed with him why it is so important to tell the client the truth. He admitted to her , the coffee beans had chocolate on them, she is allergic to chocolate, hopefully he will remember this and not inflict another client with a death caused by IA.View Thread
