I hate when I go to a doctor about a specific issue and get sent to another who "specializes" in that issue, only to be told ($50 in copays later) that the specialist doesn't specialize in that area anymore...so off to another "specialist" who doesn't even address my concerns, but tries to sign me up for some clinical trials that I don't qualify for anyways.
They don't have any bedside manner anymore and don't seem to give a damn about the patient's feelings. Well, that and seeing my weight. lol. Man I'm a grouch. View Thread
I think adults have behaved badly for ages-but I do think with the ways we have to expose their bad behavior it seems like it's worse...
My 30 something yr old brother in law is a real jerk. He encourages my nephew to make jokes at others expense (usually mine, because of my weight) and he is just an embarrassment to go out in public with. Sunday morning breakfasts in public are like torture...he sits there and complains loudly about everything, makes nasty comments about his wife touching him in inappropriate places (when she isn't). I've all but given up on going out to eat with him.View Thread
I think because of social media and other things, bullying has expanded and became worse today. Used to be, a bully just said or did mean things to you in person or over the phone, now they can hop on facebook or whatever and wage war against you.
I remember my first bullying incident-I was on the bus going to kindergarten and this girl gets on, walks back to me and slaps me in the face. She did this a few times over the next few days until my bus driver takes me to the side and says "if you don't slap her back, I'm going to give YOU the conduct card". I was mortified so I did like the bus driver said and that girl never touched me again. Sad but true.View Thread
I'd say I'm getting a little more vocal as I get older. I'm generally nice, I hold doors for people, I like to make people laugh or even smile. But sometimes, people just "p" me off. I was walking out of walmart the other day, in the middle of the coss walk that says "YIELD" and some dumb woman nearly ran over me...she was laid back in her seat, leaning to the side, with music blaring and evidently didn't want to be bothered to put her foot on the brake. I called her a "b", flipped her off and told my husband I wanted to hit her with our tow hitch. lol.View Thread
