As a mom of a young little girl I can understand your concern and worry. I am so sorry your family is going through this.
While waiting for others to respond, I want to suggest you post with our Parenting: 4 - 5 Year Old Community . This is an active, great group of moms who have school age children. We also have an great Parenting: Elementary Ages Community to offer support and advice.

So sorry to hear about this. Can you talk with the leader privately to talk about what you experienced last night?
If this is not your usual experience with the group, do you think should you continue to talk more about your situation and leaving a job for treatment is not an option. Maybe they can offer other suggestions for tackling your stressful work environment and treatment for your depression.
Hoping you have a bit more clarity this morning,

Please do not be afraid to call your pdoc, hopefully you guys can work together to figure out what's going on with your mood swings, thoughts, reactions, and behaviors.
Have you posted with our Relationships and Coping Community? Dr. Becker-Phelps may have some suggestions for better and easier communication with your guy and family.
I did a little searching about mood swings, check out these resources I found -
Mood Swings - Depression or Something Else?
Bipolar, Manic Depression, Mood Swings: Are these the same?

Hope you are having a better week,

Check in when you can and remember to take care and take time for yourself (even if it is diving into a good book).

Wanted to stop in to welcome you while waiting for others to reply, glad you found us!
Good to hear you are going to talk with your doctor, that is the first step. Others can share their experience of meds vs therapy and a combo of both to overcome feeling of depression and sadness. I like your description and sense of humor.

Sounds like you are on the right track - getting tests, talking with your doctor and talking about your feelings here. You may also want to talk with your doc about couples counseling.

Your words about coming here are so true. For some this is the only place to come and share feelings.
Hoping the stresser's stay away for you today,

Hope you will post a pic of your painting when complete. Sounds like a incredibly therapeutic and insightful way to express what you are feeling and the great supportive bridges you are building.
Thanks so much for sharing this,
