I have tried about everything there is!
Prozac, Zoloft, Wellbutrin, Celexa,
Symbiax (which made me scarily suicidal)
Lexapro, and now, Pristiq, which I have been
on for 7 days now and I have noticed nothing
except that I am unable to
orgasm during sex, (same side effect as
Prozac and Lexapro, very annoying to me,
and my husband.)View Thread

I'm so sorry you're having to go through this.
life can be such a mess, and then you look
around and see all the people that seem
to have a wonderful life and everything
seems so unfair and then you feel worse.
I don't know what to tell you. I haven't found
anything to help myself yet. I think talking
to other people is a good thing to do.
unfortunately I don't know many people
that I can talk to. maybe you do?
talk to friends, sister, brother, minister,
and talk about anything, it doesn't have to
be about your situation. just talking is very good.
it distracts you for the moment. and life is
made up of moments. God bless you.View Thread

for any length of time, even just a day,
what happened? how did you know
you needed hospitalization?
how did you get there?
were you angry about it?
did it help at all?
please share anything you can. thanks.View Thread

it gives the rest of us a spark of hope. : )

I already had that antidepressants are little more than placebos.
It's so frustrating that we can do heart transplants,
and eye surgery, and other miraculous medical procedures,
but so far, there's basically nothing for those of us
stuck in the black hole of depression.View Thread

My anxiety came on after a couple years of trying with
no avail to combat depression. I was one day gripped with
the realization that I'd tried everything I knew of to try and
it hadn't done a bit of good, and I was likely stuck this way
for the rest of my life. I have a horrible sense of doom/panic
that I just can't shake. it exhausts me. I wake up too early with
an instant buzzing sensation that starts at the bottom of my
heart and in my belly and radiates out my arms and I feel like I'm trembling all over. then the diarrhea starts. nothing brings me pleasure except sleep. I'm on the brink of nausea at the thought of eating. but I force myself to eat because if I don't I
get too weak to walk around. I don't know what to do anymore. I have some ativan that I take on the worst days, like when I get to crying uncontrollably, I hope your spell doesn't last long... I wish mine was just a spell but I've felt this way every day for about a year and a half. it's unbelievable to me that I can still function.View Thread

so many things to get out of this
black hole of depression, but it seems
things have gradually gotten worse
instead of better. Can anyone share
a real success story? either about yourself
or someone you know. include details
like what caused the depression,
all the things tried to combat it,
how long it lasted, what finally got rid of it,
and how long the depression has been gone,
I am grasping at any kind of hope here... thanks all.View Thread
