I would suggest a really good therapist to work with you. A long-term good relationship with a professional is super helpful and can give you unbiased insight into what you may say or do that turns people off.
It seems as though many Church's in Houston have an abundance of support groups. If you have a favorite church nearby, you may want to check their website for support groups. I hope you find comfort and support in knowing that you are not alone. Take care!! -KathleenView Thread
"He has made me feel so bad about myself that I shaved my hair off. He does struggle from anger issues, gambling addiction, alcoholism and drug addiction. He has been gone overnight not came home till the next day, 3 times now. He got so drunk on "MY" birthday that by the end of the night he got abusive and choked me"
Depression aside - - does this sound like a decent man who loves his wife and is a good person?? NO !!!
I would pack up and leave today! Go to a trusted family member, friends house or a battered Woman's shelter.
We are not immortal - we all only have a limited time on earth to live life, be happy and produce good things. This person you are married to is wasting his time away and hurting you.
Get out and make a life for yourself and leave this person today!!
