Seems like to me you are doing more than just the Cinnamon to lower your BG. One you are-watching your carbs-big time. Two you are losing weight. Many sources say that just 10lb of weight loss is enough to turn around BG. Now if the Cinnamon is adding a % of BG lowering power to this mix-great. I take Cinnamon also, and use it with nuts, in water with vinegar, As caplets, and in cooking. I think it helps, but not really sure. As my numbers are good, I won't change anything.
Take a double check on the low and no fats. Sometimes they either add sugar to help with the taste or the process makes it higher in sugars. I usually go for the plain and keep my additives low in sugars/carbs.View Thread
I take 2 in morning, two at night. The fish oil now after 4 years, doesn't bother me. Now the Niaspin does if I take it during the day, but if just before bed the reaction is while I'm asleep, but it doesn't wake me up.View Thread
Have you noticed the trends lately? I have seen now that Heinz has "Simply Heinz" a sugar version of their ketchup. Main line sodas are market testing "natural"sodas that use sugar. Other companies are market testing the same, I for one buy the sugared versions over the HFCS when shopping. Do I use it? no not in most cases, but sometimes in cooking. So let your pocket book do your talking for you. It may cost a little more, but. . . .View Thread
I don't medicate, but even then I make certain to carry a protein bar or some other cal count with me when I am in situations where I might not eat on a regular schedule. It keeps me from getting to grouchy from not eating. Most of the time, when this happens I can also handle a large apple or so, because I am usually walking, or busy in some other physical manner. When in an aircraft, I stick with a bit of fruit or a protein bar. Present flight security makes things a little more difficult, but can be overcome.View Thread
