How was your weekend? If you celebrate the holidays, do you have any decorations up?
Share what's coming up for you this week here too!
The highlight of my weekend is that my 7 year old made the husband and I a pot of coffee all by herself - from getting the pot out of the dishwasher to pushing the "on" button (photo below). We bought the tree and are decorating tonight.
I don't think a diagnosis of "diabetes" should be seen as someone calling you "sick". I completely understand that you would like to avoid medication and you got some great support and suggestions from this community.
I hope you continue to to take care of yourself and address health issues so you can stay healthy.
NORAD is the North American Aerospace Defense Command - doesn't sound like a very "warm & fuzzy" office so it makes the fact that they "track Santa from the North Pole" this even more awesome. Below is the fascinating back story as to how it got started.
The program began on December 24, 1955 when a Sears department store placed an advertisement in a Colorado Springs newspaper which told children that they could telephone Santa Claus and included a number for them to call. However, the telephone number printed was incorrect and calls instead came through to Colorado Springs' Continental Air Defense Command (CONAD) Center. Colonel Shoup, who was on duty that night, told his staff to give all children that called in a "current location" for Santa Claus. A tradition began which continued when the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) replaced CONAD in 1958.
Just saw that there is an app so I downloaded to my phone - as of right now, 17 days till they start tracking Santa's journey from the North Pole....
