I actually hate fish and had tried fish oil years ago, but stopped taking it because I kept burping up fish taste. A little bit later a cardiogist recommended I start taking fish oil. When I started to protest he said I know what you are going to say - freeze them! It does help. It also helps to take them shortly after or while eating and it keeps the burping up fish taste to a minimum. I know take three tablets every night and rarely have a problem.View Thread

I also buy the enteric coated fish oil *laughing*, but I still freeze them. Even though I trusted the doctor, I also checked with the pharmacist to see what he thought of freezing the fish oil and he agreed that it would work and still be a useful supplement. The theory is the capsules don't melt until they pass into your intestine. Not sure if that is true or not, but the freezing allows me to take a supplement I need and should have. If I was still having a problem, I wouldn't take them. The bonus is they appear to be good for my diabetes as well.View Thread
