Mauilady54 - I spoke with my endocrinologist today and he told me that the wine will lower the BS; hence, one must consider this when evaluating different amounts of alcohol with the medication dosage. I was diagnosed with Type 2 in 1988 and have been on pills etc ever since. I like a drink and have finally discovered that Cabernet Savignon - 2 glasses prior to or during dinner seems to lower my sugar level. I cannot explain this; however, it is true.View Thread
