I do not quite understand. If your numbers are consistently low then wouldn't your HbA1c reflect that your insulin is at least adequate? Does insulin continue to become depleted even if your blood sugars are normal? If your blood sugars are normal what good what it do to know your insulin levels? Is there anything you can do to protect your beta cells? If you can't, what benefit accrues from testing insulin? Can you be insulin resistant and still have adequate insulin or does being insulin resistant cause depletion of beta cells?
