Don't bother wasting your time and emotional effort. Words from this old lady re worry: Just don't. If you can do something about it,(whatever you might worry about) do it! If you can't do anything, don't worry. That holds for big or little things.
An_252335, A lot can happen in 2 years. You should probably be checked again, especially since you have a family history of diabetes, and have been diagnosed with PCOS. I'm surprised that the doctor treating your PCOS isn't keeping a closer eye on you....one would expect him/her to check you routinely for diabetes, since it is so common in patients with PCOS.
An_245101, when you squeeze the finger, you don't squeeze only the blood vessels: you squeeze the cells (interstitial fluid), any lymph channels that might be present (lymphatic fluid), and whatever else is in the area. Those fluids can contaminate (dilute) the blood (for purposes of accuracy). If you get a good flow from the stick, it's not necessary to use a second drop (as was once thought).View Thread
I'm on SSR, so a fixed income. And lots of meds! Several years ago, I asked my doctor about samples...and fortunately they get lots of them. Especially for the most expensive one, that costs over $1.00/day even after insurance. They have been a lot of help. NancyView Thread
Here's another problem: socks seem to be made for wide feet. I do not like the way the excess fabric bunches up inside my shoes. Does anyone know of decent socks that are made for narrow feet? I would really appreciate the info!
