Deb, why were you given antibiotics for tendonitis? I've had tennis elbow several times, the first time for months; the real relief came from physical therapy. Never were given antibiotics; would probably have refused them anyhow!
I had a somewhat similar problem a few years ago; first went to my PCP, who sent me to an ENT. After xrays, he couldn't diagnose the problem. Finally, after nearly three months, I went to my dentist for a routine checkup: it was a dental abcess!
Maybe your FIL would benefit from a visit to a dentist...MDs don't know beans about teeth and dental problems!
Sarah, welcome to our group. We have lots of people with years of experience with coping with diabetes, and most of them will offer good advice (there are a few whose advice is suspect, but if it really seems to be wacky, it probably is).
Don't be afraid to ask "stupid" questions...they aren't stupid at all. I'm sure someone will come through with some good tips.
Glad you had a good time in Vegas. I have a daughter who lives there, so I visit her occasionally. Don't gamble (I'm a very bad loser), but I really enjoy the people watching! Didn't you feel awful on the steroids, and with the high bG? Hope all goes well. NancyView Thread
Have a great Thanksgiving, Michelle! And a (profitable) trip to Vegas. too. Enjoy yourself before you start on that nasty ol' chemo...although if it does it's job, I guess its worth the miseries. Chin up, lady! You are an inspiration to all of us.
