New to this forum and hoping i can get some advice. I have been a type 2 diabetic for 12 years or so, I am 36 now. I went the last few years without insurance and just recently got my insurance back and went to the doctor. My a1c was 12.5 and i am now on lantus and humalog. I am using a sliding scale of the humalog and my sugars are now staying around 150 but i haven't had any carbs besides vegetables (low carb ones) and a little salad dressing in 3 weeks and I would think that my sugars should be great. I have been excercising more than i was although i am not a fan of it and am struggling to find the want to do this. I also suffer from depression so that adds to my lack of energy. Also my sugars may be say 130 before bed and i have had nothing to eat and in the morning they may be up to 170.View Thread



I have met with a dietician in the way past when I was first diagnosed and was was just starting out, I never really thought I could not have enough carbs, is that because your pancreas doesn't know to release the insulin?View Thread
