Hi, When newly diagnosed with diabetes, many people feels scared. So take care of your mother by following diet : You can eat a variety of vegetables for each meal. They can be filling, like cabbage and carrots(1/2 cup each), green beans and turnips all in one meal. Salads(with romaine lettuce) A handful of most nuts a day, are okay.
