My wife has type 1 diabetes and a couple of years ago, got these rashes (one on each leg) a little above the ankle. They started off about 2-3 inches around but have grown slightly and also seem to be more red than they originally were.
When you look closer, the skin in and around the redness also looks like when you get a sunburn and your skin is about to start peeling.
More than 1 dermatologist has prescribed steroid creams but they haven't appeared to help. It has slowly grown over time.
Any recommendations as to what to do, or help as to exactly what it is would be appreciated. Sorry I don't have a photo but I will try to get one today and reply to this thread with it.
Also, is there a way through this site to speak with a doctor at all ? Like a premium membership or anything ?
