Have six small meals a day with calories recommended according to your height, weight. Choose food with high-fiber and low-fat diet not only for weight loss but to lower your risk of coronary diseases.
Include yoga with your exercise as it is a physical practice that has been shown to help many people with their physical and mental well-being.

Then vary your intensity on said exercise up and down. Go at 90% capacity for a minute then drop to 70% then to 85% then rest at 50% twenty minutes of that is far more effective than 45min on the one intensity level.View Thread

My advice with best way to lose weight is with proper diet and exercise coupled with a strong stress reduction program.
And even long-term weight loss does not normally occur in smokers because of the resulting unhealthiness and bad habits which actually lead to weight gain.
So Quit Smoking

Just make sure you get the smart pop or something low in calories.
Also you can try brushing your teeth. Some people says it helps them stop eating. I'm not sure on that one.

If you are used to eating big meals and choose to eat late as one of those few meals, this is where it can cause a person to gain weight your body will store even more of the the fat and carbs due to the fasting.
Your best option is to get your body used to eating small meals through out the day, making eating late at night irrelevant.

Your diet can include leafy green vegetables, such as broccoli, spinach or kale, and citrus fruits including oranges or tangerines, berries, onions, eggplant and tomatoes. Starchy vegetables such as carrots, acorn squash and pumpkin are slightly higher in calories, but they are excellent sources of vitamin A.
In addition to their vitamins and minerals, fruits and vegetables also have healthy phytochemicals such as phytosterols. A few fruits and vegetables, such as avocados and olives, are high in calories.
