I wish that we could do something like that in the community, but who knows who may decide to fib on the weight or where the money would come from. LOL Great idea, though! LOVE IT!!
Well, I hope that you feel better soon. Rest and drink lots of fluids and soup. Maybe a walk in the fresh air might feel good, but do take care and stay positive because March is the month for us all to take charge! View Thread
I think that is a great idea to have a weekly update and APPRECIATE all advice by the members here!!! ALWAYS feel free to post anything that will help you and others keep on track because that is the best way for all of us to reach our goals and motivate. No worries about last month, the focus is March now!
BTW, what do you feel gets you to "eat more than you need"? Do you have a partner that you usually eat with (boyfriend, roommate, husband)? Do you snack with others at work or in another environment on a regular basis?
I'm just curious because often in the past I have found myself to overeat do to either stress or surrounding influences. Now, I'm alone a lot of the time or with my daughter, so lack of exercise is my problem. We CAN help to resolve this together, so bikinis are in the near future! View Thread
A house is always a project and you are right on the calories, but I actually wanted to use my at home equipment and dvds! Funny you should bring that up, but since I had my LO the gym has not really been much of an option for me.
I have an elliptical, free weights and dvds, which work great! I DVR my favorite shows, listen to my own music and roll the elliptical under the overhead fan. As for dvds, I also feel a bit nutty when I'm performing some of the moves, so I just close the shades!
I love Jillian Michaels' workouts! They make you sweat and definitely get your muscles aching. I would love to hear other suggestions from more members!!View Thread
So great! I totally feel you on the bathing suits and summer clothes. Reminding yourself of trying on bathing suits in those awful lit, crazy-mirrored dressing rooms really can motivate anyone!!
You really do sound so much happier, stronger and comfortable with your mind and body. I am proud of you!!
My weekend was not as active as I would have liked, but lots of cleaning and painting definitely kept me off of the "booty" and moving.
Congratulations on the new apartment with your sweet man! Lots of good things happening! Thanks for your wonderful posts and inspiration. I'm ready to indulge in exercise with you! Keep up the great work!!!View Thread
Maybe you can find substitutes to help prepare you for the monthly munchies? Buy baked potato chips or pretzels to fulfill your salt cravings and maybe lowfat frozen yogurt or light whip cream with fruit for your "need" for sweets! There are so many great substitutes out there to get you away from full on saturated fats and cholesterol, while they still taste a bit sinful.
ALSO, the way that you eat and your exercise habits during your cycle do supposedly affect your PMS symptoms. The WebMD PMS-Free Diet article gives great ideas and information on taking care of your body to find the most relief every month. I hope that this helps and good luck! Keep us posted on anything that works for you. View Thread
