I'm not really sure how to start this, but as you can see from the title, I'm looking for a diet buddy!
I'm a college student who's having difficulties managing my ever-so-fluctuating weight (especially with the terrible dining hall options). Ideally, I'd like to lose ~40 lbs by the end of this year. Unfortunately, I'm easily thrown off track by stress and excuses haha So I'd really like to find someone that wouldn't mind emailing with me so that we can motivate each other, bother each other to go exercise, exchange advice, and all that good stuff! Please let me know if you'd be interested!
Hey Laura! I would loveee to be your diet buddy! I've lost about 10 lbs since the initial posting, so I have 30 to lose if you're still interested in exchanging emails? Haha, my email is already posted in here if you wanna chat! View Thread
Hi everyone! I'm a sophomore in college and gained 20 lbs. T__T I am 5'3" and so far lost 14lbs, now weighing in at 138lbs. My goal is 110-115lbs. I've tried just exercising (2hrs a day, 3-4 times a week) but no cigar. I'm going on the Master Cleanse Diet in a couple days and I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me? I'm worried that I won't be able to keep the weight off once I start eating solids again. If not, I'd love to have a diet buddy to keep each other motivated! Happy Losing! View Thread
Hello! I'm a 19 year old female trying to lose 27 pounds. Currently, I am 5'4" and 137lbs. Pear shaped.
So for about a week and a half, this has been a typical day...
-Work out in the morning before breakfast for 45 minutes; cardio only (burning ~400 calories) -Breakfast: Smoothie (Blueberries, 1/2 banana, skim milk, greek yogurt) and one piece of toast = 300-400 calories -Lunch: Protein bar and a banana = 300 calories -Snack: handful of peanuts = 100 calories -Dinner: Brown rice, vegetables, egg (I'm asian and can't live w/o rice) = 400-500 calories -Work out for 90 minutes (70 minutes cardio, 15-20 minutes resistance training) = burning ~500-700 calories -Post work out snack: 1 glass of skim milk = 100 calories
What am I doing wrong?! I've actually GAINED 3 pounds and gained 2 inches on my waist and belly! And it's not even muscle, I feel flabbier than ever!!! DX
Please, I'm desperate to lose weight!!!! So ready to just give up! Any advice?!?!View Thread
Hi there! Let's see, according to medical professionals, they say it's only healthy to lose 1-2 pounds a week. Assuming that you've been losing 2 lbs a week since July 11th and that you stop on August 29th, that gives you 7 weeks. According to health standards, yes, it is too much to lose in too short of a time period. I think you could still aim to lose 10-14 lbs through healthy living though! At the same time, however, if you're not used to drinking 8 cups of water everyday, or not used to eating healthier foods, or you are extremely overweight, you might see more weight loss at the start of your diet. (That's what happened to me anyway lol) Good luck! Happy Losing!View Thread
Hi! Thanks for your reply! I am aware that this diet may not be the healthiest, but I'm not planning on going more than the "recommended" amount (10 days).....if I even make it that far -__- And I already promised myself that if I feel like my body is in danger, I will definitely stop. I feel like I'm on a plateau and I'm hoping that this will just be the first step to an overall healthier body and lifestyle. After this, I'd like to start eating more fruits and veggies and exercising more vigorously! hehe Also, if I don't drop the weight before I start school (5 weeks away), we made a pact (amongst fellow dieters) to shave our heads bald. Not quite ready to part with hair yet hahaha Thank you for your advice! View Thread
