In the past we had a Diet Club FAQ: we frequently referred newcomers to it-because it had some great tips, ideas for getting started, and information on just how diet clubs at WebMD work.
Let's build a new one using this tip area (and be sure to vote saying it is helpful so it stays visible in the right side bar for new members.)
Share your tips for new members-from how to feel comfortable as part of this support group to the tools you use and any thing that will help get the new members started on their road to a healthier lifestyle.
I know you have tips-so hit reply and share.View Thread

Since this is my final day at WebMD, this is my Final Five. I hope someone picks it up because I have enjoyed your answers and getting to know you through them and not just the usual chatter.

1. What has been the hardest "final" thing in your life? 2. Any final thoughts for me? 3. Do you have any final questions for me? 4. Share your final fantasy--about anything--your home, your job, your life, your weight 5. Finally, what will you do this weekend?View Thread
Call and find out if they will cover a meeting with a CDE (certified diabetes educator) I think they will. My mother used Secure Horizons when she lived in Colorado and I remember she got some diabetes education.
If the hospital offers classes--those are often free or around 10-20 dollars for the classes in my experience. Those classes usually get listed on the hospital website or if you call and ask about their community outreach programs.View Thread
