I didn't know you had emigrated from South Africa. I have a friend in Canada who did the same. She was a child when she moved though.
Elaine Magee says to get comfortable with hunger at bedtime. I have come to believe her. I do think you have to know yourself though. I can ride out hunger to the point where when it is finally time to eat--I can't eat. sigh. So be careful.
Have a good call with your mom. (and a good weekend)View Thread

I do promise to get a regular member name and stop in from time to time. It won't be Louise--they retire mod names like beloved sports players or something.
1. What has been the hardest "final" thing in your life?
2. Any final thoughts for me?
3. Do you have any final questions for me?
4. Share your final fantasy--about anything--your home, your job, your life, your weight
5. Finally, what will you do this weekend?View Thread

For example,
- "I'm really sedentary, but I want to be fit"
- "I'm a mom, but I would like to spend more time with my children."
- "I'm on a tight budget, but I would like to have more financial security and be able to give more money to those in need"
- "I'm a caregiver to my mom, but I wish I spent more time talking with her and getting her some friends in the area"
I would love to hear how you fill in these blanks: "I'm_____ , but_____."View Thread

If the hospital offers classes--those are often free or around 10-20 dollars for the classes in my experience. Those classes usually get listed on the hospital website or if you call and ask about their community outreach programs.View Thread

2. What do you see right now?View Thread

So you are an alarm clock person, what happens if you don't use it?View Thread
