I bought a jogging stroller, and it's the best fitness investment I've made. I can't use the excuse that I have my son with me so I cannot exercise b/c I can just put my son in the jogging stroller and walk around the neighborhood. Not only am I getting a good work out with walking, but pushing a 30 lb toddler in that stroller is like pushing 40 lbs for 2 or 3 miles! Also, we live close to his daycare, so some days instead of driving to pick him up, I will walk over there with the stroller, or we will walk to a park near our home. He loves it, and when he sees it, he runs to it and says, "Walk mommy! I'll get my shoes on." Can't say no to that!
I would advise if you get one of these, to get one with swivel wheels. Mine is hell to turn corners with. They can be kind of expensive, but check out craigslist or yard sales for one. I got mine on a community yard sale website and only paid $40.View Thread
Have you thought about doing any type of water aerobics? Not hardcore swimming, but an actual class with a teacher and you do aerobics in a swimming pool. Lots of local pools offer those types of clases.View Thread
This is an awesome site that allows you to plug in your weight, height, and body shape, and it pulls up images of members who've submitted their pictures that have the same qualifications as you do. It's great to see how people with the same weight and height are still shaped differently with different proportions. For me, looking at the pics gave me different perspective on my body. I think I look one way, but after comparing to other ladies that have my same weight and height who I didn't think looked all that big, maybe I don't look as big as I originally thought.View Thread
