The fact that he left u is proof that u have control over your life! He didn't like it and couldn't handle the idea of not being able to control u anymore. Don't let what happened drag you down, because that will mean that he still has control over you. Use this as a tool of empowerment. Use this as fuel to stay the course.
However, what you are feeling is valid and getting dumped is hard. Your heart aches when you think about it, which right now is probably all the time. You have moments where you seem ok, but then you go and cry in the bathroom. But remember, it's called a breakup because something was broken and clearly, it was him! You deserve someone who is going to love, respect, and value you no matter what you look like. You deserve someone who is going to support you in all of your endeavors.
Do not allow him or the breakup prevent you from being where you want to be. Regardless of what he has said or done or how he has made you feel, never forget that YOU ARE WORTH IT! Hang in there!View Thread
I wanted to post about this to see if I could find someone who has done this diet and to get some feedback. There is this diet that my friend did called the "Whole30". It is based off of a book called "It Starts With Food". They seem to stress that the purpose of the diet is not to lose weight (although you will), but to restart your system. A friend of mine did the full 30 days and she said it was the best thing she has ever done. It's basically a Paleo diet, but it's really strict. No dairy, no legumes, no carbs, and you need to avoid night shade vegetables. Has anyone else ever done this diet and what did you think???View Thread
I know it's been a hot minute. I fell off the diet and fitness wagon a few months ago. I got caught up with my job and this exam that I had to take and that was the end of it. Been having a hard time getting back on track since. This is typical for me, but it's gosh darn annoying! I get on a roll, lose 10 pounds, and then something happens that trips me up and I end up back where I was. I picked up some supplements from the drug store yesterday to help me get back on track. I wanted to have 30 pounds gone by now. Oh well, getting upset about it isn't going to make it happen any faster!!View Thread
That I went to the gym Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and today!!! Each day consisted of 1 hour of cardio and weight training. Trying very hard to wait until Wednesday to weight myself and see where I'm at. I will get this weight off...one pound at a time!View Thread

I'm still here and sticking with things! Been going to the gym 3-4 days a week since I started. I have lost a total of 5.5 pounds so far. I may have lost more, but I know I am starting to build more muscle, which adds to overall weight.View Thread
Weighed myself today. 155.2 Haven't seen that number in a loooooong time. That is almost a 5 pound loss. Been going to the gym about 3 times a week doing 1 hour of cardio and then weight training.View Thread
Absolutely. I did cheat a little today though. I ate a cheesesteak. But, I only ate half, and then I went for a brisk walk. I walked about about 50 minutes...I think it was about 2.5 miles. I need to drive my car down there to find out what the distance is, lol.

I have been on and off this board for the last couple years. I get all pumped up and motivated and lose 10 poounds, then fall off the wagon and gain it all back and then some.
I recently started a new job and it's completely thrown me off. I'm findining it extremely dificult to stick with a healthy diet and to get to the gym at the end of the day. Going to the gym in the morning doesn't work for me as I already get up at 5:45 as it is. When the new year started, I had a goal to lose 30 lbs by the end of June. Well, I haven't lost anything and we are almost to May. I am beginning to feel extremely bummed out and angry with myself. Anyone have any suggestions for how to deal with what I am feeling right now and for how to get back on track?View Thread
Hope everyone is doing well. I haven't posted in awhile. Made an attempt to jump back on the healthy bandwagon back in July and I fell off. Still have my original goal of losing 30 pounds. **hangs head and sighs** Wish I could just be consistent and do what I gotta do. Just sick and tired of being sick and tired, but feel too sick and tired all the time to do anything about it.
I know what I have to do in regards to diet changes and exercising, but I just can't find the willpower or endurance anymore. How can I jumpstart myself and light a fire under my butt?
