I posted this on the 100 Board but I thought I'd post it here too. I am most thankful for my health and quality of life. I posted an old picture of myself here today because I want to remind myself of who I was when I came to these boards in January. It is such a far cry from who I am now, and I'm so grateful.View Thread
I've been doing the same thing, Judy. Last night was yet another binge, but I'm hoping I have a handle on it today and this weekend should be busy with lots of exercise so my focus will be off food. Plus I got rid of the Funfetti cupcakes I baked, thank God! By got rid of, I mean I ate 'em! LOLView Thread
If it makes you feel any better Andie, my son was a horrible student all through school. Once he got to high school, all he cared about was his social life and making good enough grades (2.0) to stay on the baseball team. I'm happy to say that now he 19 and in his 2nd year of college, carrying a full load, taking school very seriously, AND he is getting good grades. If you had told me this would be happening when he was 14 I would have laughed in your face! He's even talked about getting his Masters Degree someday. I just had to scratch my head in wonder. Anyway, he sent me to the refrigerator, pantry, and drive thru many times during his high school years. Just know it will get better and hang in there!
P.S. You know it is just TOM issues when you eat something you would never even eat otherwise!View Thread
Well I ate 4 Funfetti cupcakes last night, so I'm not the one to give advice today. I'm hoping, like Amber, that some tips here can help me out! I'm mostly an emotional eater, and more likely to overeat during PMS/TTOM which is better than what I used to do. Before I started this weight loss journey, I'd use ANY opportunity or excuse to overeat.View Thread

I emailed Mia today because I was just concerned that she hadn't been around for so long, even to just say a quick hello, and she is not doing really well with the move. She said it is going "horrible" but the good news is that she hasn't gained any weight. She hasn't lost any either, but she is okay with that. She also downloaded a virus and crashed her computer.
She wanted me to pass along to everyone that she can't wait to start posting again and she misses all of you and sends her love. She may be back on in 2 or 3 weeks.
I've had this happen the last few nights myself and I'm not sure why because I'm usually not much of a night eater. When I wasn't in as good shape, I would not want to go back downstairs to raid the fridge, but now that the stairs don't bother me, I have to find some snacks I can eat that are filling but not that many calories because if I deprive myself things will get ugly! Sometimes I will just munch on celery or a portion of popcorn, Skinny Cow or other low calorie ice cream, or a half sandwich with low calorie meat and cheese. I found something I liked last night and for 100 calories it really rocked. A peanut butter Nature Valley Granola Thin with a TB of SF apricot jam. Tasted like a tiny peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Also FF hot chocolate is only 25 calories and sometimes can cure a sweet tooth if you have one.
I agree that you need to find your own go-tos that satisfy your cravings and also agree that YOU CAN DO THIS! Good luck to you.
Your post was like a slap in the face to everyone who has been trying to help you here, not only in their responses to this post but to other discussions you have posted in the past. They have taken the time to ask questions, give you their experiences, and encourage you, and your vitrolic response was uncalled for. Just because the site is called Web "MD" doesn't mean we should have all the answers to every question you pose. Even real doctors have to ask some questions in order to make their diagnosis. I suggest you continue your search for a physician who is sensitive to weight issues who can give you the medical attention you need.
I love amusement parks and roller coasters so I tried to go anyway even at my highest weight, which was 350. Luckily, I live in southern California and Disneyland is "fat friendly," so I went all the time especially when my son was young. The only ride I wouldn't go on was Dumbo because I seriously feared that the machinery holding Dumbo up would break under my weight. Maybe you can call the amusement parks around you and find out if they have any weight restrictions. If you feel funny about giving your height and weight, say you have a husband who is 6'2" and 350 pounds and see if he will fit on the ride. If not, that is a great goal to try to reach with your weight loss.
Glad you overcame not wanting to walk and went anyway. I make myself go to the gym sometimes when I just don't feel like I have the energy, and I'm always glad I went afterwards.
As far as sleeping later, so many people I know are going through the same thing and they attribute it to the upcoming time change. Maybe see what happens after we change the clocks the end of the month. Until then, heck, enjoy your sleep!View Thread
