I'm still busy around here, of course. School has started, hubby has started his new job, and my younger boys and I are still adjusting to me not working!
We just got back from a 5K race, just as spectators this time. I had several people from my running class participating so we hung around the finish and cheered them on. It was so fun to see them! We've only got three weeks left with our Run for God class. We run our "graduation" race on October 6th! It's so cool because it's the same race that I ran as my first 5K ever last year. And now I'm going to run it with a class of 60 that I taught! Oh my, what a difference a year makes!
I'm pretty excited for tonight. They are having a fancy grand-reopening at my husband's work. It's also a fund raiser for the heart association. I have my first-ever "little black dress" and HOT red heels. I don't believe I've EVER felt so confident in an outfit! My husband has not seen it yet. I'm driving up to the party at the end of his work day. I can't wait to see his reaction when I walk in

I enjoy keeping up to date on everyone. Keep up the good work!View Thread

Tracking is the way to go! Getting a handle on eating is the most important step.

Make sure to keep at least one pair of pants for the obligatory "after" shot with you holding them up in front of your new body

I know what you mean about skipping rest days. I should have rested yesterday but didn't because I was afraid I wouldn't get anything in today...and what do you know? I'm sore today
So I have a rest day forced on me, too!I'm getting excited for fall. It's cooled off around here and overcast, so it *almost* feels like fall...I can feel it coming, anyway! And I'm actually excited for football to start, too. I've never really been into it, but I am looking forward to it this year.View Thread

I've always found when I get stuck, if I up my calories for a week or two, then go back down, the scale starts moving again. I took the liberty of calculating your daily calorie needs based on height and weight...your maintenance level is 2094. Now, that's an estimate. You may find when you reach maintenance it will be lower than that. But that means you could potentially eat up to 2000 calories and not gain anything. I myself am eating 1800-2200/day and still losing (well, I'm losing fat but not weight!)
The thing that stuck out to me was your comment about your hair. That's a signal of something. Not sure exactly what, but your body is trying to say something.
At this point, what could it hurt? Try even 1500-1800 calories for a week. That's still below maintenance. You'll lose. Just maybe not as fast. And I've heard you mention before, you don't want to lose fast to avoid the loose skin, etc.
And I REALLY caution you against going too low in calories. When they're too low, your body burns muscle before fat...something I've learned the hard way!
Like I said, take this as you want. It worked for me, but everyone is different. It might be worth a shot if nothing else is working...plus it's nice to eat more for a change!View Thread
