I go to weight watchers and the day I weigh in I can have whatever I am craving but only on that day. Works for me. Exercise is a must. Takes a while but you do feel so much better. Good LuckView Thread
You are not alone. I am 62 and I quit dieting and I am making changes for my health. It isn't easy as you know. I go to weight watchers and weigh in faithfully. I hit a plateau and still go. I am determined to not gain back what I lost. Like you I have been on many diets and lost weight only to gain it back and more. I finally decided to make changes for my health. I am diabetic and I have come off my medicine, at least some of it. I, too, am an emotional eater, I took up crochet and knitting to keep my hands busy and away from the fridge. It is difficult to get off meds but it is doable. Don't give up, I got off Actos entirely(good now they show it can cause heart attacks and strokes) . I cut glyburide in half. the Doctor says if I can keep it up I may be off all diabetes II meds. What a worthy goal. The key for me is portion control and exercise.
