I've had a consultation done for Lasik. I can't get lasik done, but I can get something similar done (PRK). I'm not sure exactly how much it is, but I think I would have to pay for the whole thing out of pocket b/c nothing would be covered by insurance - they'd probably see it as an elective procedure. So I'm working on saving up for it - I don't want to have to take out a loan for it. Maybe someday...View Thread
Breakfast was about 3/4 of an einstein bros chocolate chip coffee cake.
Lunch is teriyaki chicken and rice we made last night with 2 potstickers.
Dinner will be??
I am wearing my glasses today. I usually wear hard contacts, but my new eye doctor wants to see my eyes again after I haven't worn my contacts for at least a day. I have to go see her tomorrow so I am wearing glasses today. Glasses give me a headache because my prescriptions are so different. I have one nearsighted eye and one farsighted eye. Wearing contacts I have better vision and it's just nicer. So today's going to be really long. She is needing to see me for this second visit because I have bad eye problems - I have a large scar on the cornea of my left eye - and have for 9 years now. I'm not feeling particularly impressed with this eye doctor. I like my old one much better. I'm hoping that if I talk to my insurance company that they might be able to make an exception for my situation. I'm going to go through with this appointment and see how it goes first.View Thread
I've been taking it easy for about a week now. I pulled a muscle or something in my shoulder/neck area and have just been resting and letting it heal. It's not sore or painful anymore, so I'm increasing my steps back up gradually.
Breakfast I had a spinach and artichoke lean pocket. I slept through my alarm and needed something quick.
Hey everyone. Breakfast for me was a slice of wheat bread, an egg, and a fourth of an avocado. Lunch was two slices of wheat bread, mayo, avocado, turkey slices, half a slice of cheddar cheese, tomatoes, pickles, and lettuce. Dinner is at my parents house tonight...so whatever we are having there.
I just wanted to share my weigh in from this morning. I was super happy. 169.5. Yay! Finally a number not in the 170s!View Thread
Shelby was home all day and was able to talk to the previous person who found them and also take them to the vet to check for microchips. No owners had contacted anyone and no chips in the dogs. The lady that had told me she wanted the Great Dane actually homed both of them - which is nice because they were good friends and stayed with each other everywhere they went. Shelby said that she had two kids - and she lives out in the country, so they'll have lots of room to run around and will get plenty of love. Yay!View Thread
172.6 this morning. Breakfast was an English muffin, and egg, and a slice of canadian bacon. Lunch will be? I haven't thought that far ahead yet.
We went for a walk yesterday, DH and I, with our two pups. We walked the block to the track at the middle school near our house. We started walking around the track and saw these two dogs running around in the street. I ended up walking the dogs back home and Shelby caught the two puppies. I came back to the park with extra collars and leashes and we got them back to our house. They were a great dane puppy and a mixed puppy (maybe pit bull and lab?). I posted an ad on craigslist - but there was another ad on craigslist for these pups that someone had posted a few days ago with a picture saying that they found these dogs. We're contacting that person today to see if they ever heard from the owners. I kind of doubt that they did. Shelby is going to take them to our vet to see if they are chipped. If they aren't, we have been contacted by someone who would like to be a permanent home for the great dane. The other one (the pit mix) we'll put up an ad to try and get her a home - and my neighbor knows someone that works in a pit rescue program - so hopefully we'll get her a new home. They are both really sweet dogs, but soooo much energy.View Thread
Sorry to hear about your teeth, Kim. I hope you're able to get something done about them.
Weigh in this morning was 172.1. I'm getting close to the 160s...I'm stoked.
I have a doctor's appointment at the end of the month, and I want to be at least in the 160s by then. I know that it is more than possible, I just have to work for it.
Breakfast was one banana/oat muffin and one morning glory muffin. Lunch is going to be a classic arby's roast beef sandwich. I have two packets of arby's sauce to go with it.
I have more yard work to do today when I get home. We're replacing one of our fences. Shelby got the fence sections all taken down - and now we're working on digging up the viney plants that were the reason the fence was doing so poorly. We're getting all the roots and stuff dug up so that when we put the new fence up they don't grow back.View Thread
