Yeah, we're waiting for a good sunny day to be able to set the posts. It rained 3 and a half inches here yesterday. I think there is a chance of rain for the next 10 days at least. But Shelby finished digging out all of the vines and roots. We have to fill back in the trench that he dug and then dig out the post holes - which we can do in rainy-ish weather. So if we get that all ready, then when it ever does decide to be sunny, we'll be ready to go
My next door neighbor is home most of the day - and I'm fairly certain she'd notice if something happened. My dogs get really loud if there is someone they don't know around. Especially if Toby feels threatened at all. There is usually only a 4-5 hour period (if at all) where one of us isn't home, so I haven't been too worried. Plus, we don't own anything nice, so there's that
But, yes, it will be nice when that is done. I will definitely feel more secure.View Thread
I donate blood all the time - at least 2-3 times a year. (Well, usually they ask me to do plasma and blood because of my rarer blood type, but pretty much same deal).
Roh's description is pretty good. You go in and will go through all of the questions - they'll ask you about sexual history and medical history and also some things related to travel. After that (or before, depending on how they do it) they will need to take your pulse, temperature, and blood pressure. Also, they will need to prick a finger to get some blood to test for...iron levels I think. Or anemia. Something like that.
Then you have the actual process of giving blood. Generally they will let you choose the arm you want them to use. The needle hurts a little going in, but after that it shouldn't hurt at all. I'm pretty slow at donating - it usually takes me 40 minutes to an hour once I've started the actual donation process. My husband is super quick and can be done in 20 to 30 minutes. You can tell them that this is your first time - I've ALWAYS had super friendly people - so hopefully the area you are in will too. View Thread
It's like you KNOW, Judy. I need to go shopping today
It rained last night and is supposed to be rainy the rest of the week.
168.8 weigh in this morning. I had an English muffin, an egg, a slice of cheese, and a slice of turkey bacon.
I think lunch is going to be soup today, as I didn't bring anything with me.
Dinner will be either leftovers or a salad. I'll see what I feel up to doing when I get home.
Shelby tore down our back fence that separates our yard and the alley yesterday. And now that it's going to be rainy all week, we won't be able to get started on the new one for a while. It's a good thing that my dogs will stay in our yard. They are pretty good pups. View Thread
