Thank you, all. Your kind words mean a lot. Well, as for the neighbor, he has 2 other trees that need to come down, but until they fall and damage something, insurance won't touch. And, I agree, his insurance should fix my stuff, but I never heard anything from him the last time and I don't expect to this time. My insurance would cover, but I have a $1000 deductible, and I don't have that much in damages.
The kind soul who fixed my mailbox is working on my gutter today. Nothing can be done about my chain-link fence yet because there is still a large (in diameter) limb on top of it. I will get after the neighbor about that because it isn't doing the damaged part any favors by sitting there. Right now I think I can salvage the damaged parts but not sure. Chain link can be pretty resilient.
I talked to my insurance company the last time a large limb damaged some shingles on my roof and damaged the back gate, but, first of all, it's the neighbor's trees, and second of all they don't work proactively, only after there is a disaster.
Oooooh, I love Snickerdoodles...a couple of quick questions, or I could Google, but it's more fun to ask on here: Is almond flour expensive? How about palm shortening, ghee or coconut oil? (What is "ghee?") Never bought "raw coconut crystals" either.
Do I need to go to a special store for these ingredients?
