I picked one up from Walgreens on a whim about a week ago because of all the hype. I figured if it didn't work for me then I could just return it. I LOVE it! OMG I have a new muscle in my arm that I didn't know existed located just below the bend. Also, I have never been able to make a muscle in my left arm and now I have real definition. After only a week???? Wow! (No this is not an endorsement and they are not paying me to say this But it really works.
I have been taking an online class so I haven't had much time for the gym (I am starting back next week, promise) so I have been using the shake weight while I am in front of the computer. I count to 100 for each exercise just to make sure I don't give up early because you feel the burn. My shoulders, neck, back and even stomach are tighter. I suggest you go to Walgreens or somewhere local and pick one up to try it. If it doesn't work for you, return it. That's why I prefer to buy those things locally. Good luck!View Thread
I have had it for almost a decade now and dug it out of the cabinet a week ago because I remembered how easy it was for me to grill salmon on it. Yum!
I am getting short on time again as I have returned to work so every minute counts. I purchase the packages of plain frozen fillets from Wal-Mart or Publix; the kind that comes individually packaged at 4 oz and 130 calories each. I simply open the individual package, rinse it off, sprinkle it with some seasoning, drop it on the grille and close it. Less than 3 minutes later, I'm ready to eat. I rotate between the salmon, tilapia, perch or basa ( very delicious) with baby spinach on the side with a bit of dressing or just the fish by itself. Quick and easy. No prep time, easy to clean.
Chicken breast also comes frozen also and there is no need to defrost. Simply drop it on the grille and close it. Once some of the ice is melted, sprinkle with seasoning and close it back. Less than 5 minutes and it's done.View Thread
Great tip! There's nothing like postponing instant gratification in ALL areas of life. Sometimes it will keep us from making even bigger mistakes, such as buying the wrong car, house, etc.
What I also do is to rationalize the calories. i.e. my housekeeper offered me a Godiva chocolate with caramel center with 220 calories....yikes! I was like it would take me 30 minutes on the elliptical at 5 mph to burn that one chocolate off......no thanks!View Thread
I love that saying..."nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels", I have a friend that is having a hard time with self-indulgence no matter what I say to her so I am going to text that to her so that she can use it as her mantra! thanksView Thread
I know, it was a bit funny when I first used it and getting the rhythm took me a couple of minutes but believe me the only thing you have to lose is the jiggly arms! LOL When I stretch mine out they are much firmer. Like I said, try to buy it locally from your pharmacy or something that way if you don't like it you can just return it. I don't like mail order. Notes on progress or trouble spots: I'm ashamed to say that since vacation, I haven't been to the gym once. I am not going to make any excuses. I am just thankful that I am still losing weight even though it would be much faster if I worked out!
Goals for the Upcoming Week: Get back on my workout plan of 3-4 days in the gym.View Thread
Notes on progress or trouble spots: I started trying to run on the treadmill this week. It was exhausting, but I felt great.
Goals for the Upcoming Week: try to workout everyday this week leading up to my mini-break to Jamaica on Thursday. Make time to workout on vacation and come back at least 1 lb lighter by Sunday.View Thread
I am in FL, so we have a nice selection year round from citrus to tropical fruits. This winter was harsh though so the prices have gone up. Easter afternoon we planted a row of fruit trees in the backyard. The majority of them have blossoms and young fruit, so if all goes well, we will have a small harvest in a couple of months.View Thread
Okay, I just have to share this huge milestone with everyone......my wedding ring fits again! I haven't been able to get it on my finger without lotioning up my hand and forcing it on my finger since I was 6 months pregnant. My son is 4 months old now and it finally fits again! It has been sitting in my jewelry case for months now, but I decided to try it on yesterday as we were getting dressed for Easter Service and it slid right on and fit snug enough to where it didn't spin. Yippeeeeee
Now the next big milestone will be when I am able to get it sized down some......look out Jared's here I come!View Thread
