That is great to hear Laura!! I know the feeling of not being able to do much due to a physical injury. I just started getting mobility and strength back in my hips and knee from surgeries that were over 2 years ago. But now, they are feeling great! And as far as my exercise routine goes. I just realized that i LOVE to dance. So that might be a new work out routine for me. We will see how it goes. The first day of this routine was today.
That is great that ou have lost the weight in such a short time. Just keep the dedication up!!
You know, i did see a quote the other day and it really spoke to me. It said something like "Which would you rather have? The junk food you have been craving for an hour, or the body you have been wanting for years!" and that really spoke to me. Since reading that, before i grab any jusnk food, i tell ny self that and it help
I would have a whole pack of dogs my self!! I love dogs! My all time favorite is a Lab. My lab is laid back, but ready to go on a jog any time i am and she is also very protective. I will always have labs I also have a Border Collie and a Husky. I love them both as well, but the lab, she is just all around the best dog that i have ever had.
That is the same reason that i refuse to step on on scale more than once in 6 months. I know this sounds weird, but i am shooting for a pant/dress size rather than weight. My reason is because i used to step on the scale every day and not see the instant change. But, it is so nice to put on a pair of pant that used to fit 2-3 weeks ago and now they are too big. That for me is what keeps me going. It might work for you as well
You nailed it. We did not end up going to the gym. We stayed at home, but we did do a bit of yard work. I think that we could do Frisbee Golf. I have not done that in years. And we have so many beautiful parks that have baskets. It would be quite fun View Thread
I have not started trcking my food yet. I have done it off and on, but i always forget to track for one day, and then it turns into a week. After that, i just stop tracking all together. But that is something that i just need to get into the habbit of.
And as far as the snacking on nuts and seeds, I do moderate how much of them i am eating. I also try to only get the unsalted or raw if they have them.
And even though i have only been doing this for a little while, i am already feeling better with my joints and tummy issues. Which is a great thing View Thread
Hello again every one So it has been about three weeks since i have wanted a heathier life. There has not been much change in weight yet. Just in my life style. So far i have stopped drinking soda, stopped eating heavy snacks at my desk. All i eat at my desk any more is seeds and nuts and sometimes fruit. I have been driking tons of water, coffee (as black as i can stand) and juice. I went and had a physical (the first one since i was 12) everything looks great and so does my blood work The next major step is joining the gym. I think i am terrified of this part and i dont know why. I have been to gyms before, but this time, i just really dont want to go. But luckly, i have a husband that is going to go with me to get the membership, so it should help
I know it does not seem like i stick around, but i am on here at least once a day during the week reading peoples post. Just like Amber, i am on here while i am at work. I dont post much buth rather read peoples stories and it helps keep me motivated. And i think that is the main reason i keep coming back. I need the motvation because that is my biggest down fall and just seeing the people that have gotten to a healthier self, reminds me that i can too. View Thread
