Got on the scale this am and it was NOT a good experience. I've been stress eating at night, always at night. And there has been a bit of CAKE in my life this summer which is why I haven't been moaning about missing it. My fruits and veggies have been my salvation and today I had an orange, lettuce, tomato, onion, okra, carrot, arugula, radicchio, green pepper, potato. I want to get back to my daily apple tomorrow. The new fall varieties should be arriving soon
I think I want to keep a foot in both camps for a while. It's much easier for me to post on FB and I can add photos which I can't do here, but I want to hear from you guys too. Cut and paste is my friend for the time being.
I'm still working on my eye problems and I had another 2 hr exam yesterday, but I'm taking a break this coming week and reassessing my options. I'm discovering that sometimes being at a university research hospital can be like falling down a rabbit hole because they want to examine everything to the nth degree. They're looking for unicorns instead of horses, and I'm happier staying in the horse barn! I'm a less is more kind of girl....oh, except for CAKE of course, Michelle View Thread
It's been a busy weekend so at this point I have to work my brain to figure out my rainbow report. Okay, an orange, eggplant, corn on the cob, lettuce, tomato, red onion, cucumber, endive. It's not a lot but I only had two meals because we did a pancake breakfast. I normally would have loaded the batter with fruit but we had a houseguest who freaked out at the idea of fruit in his pancakes, so I just added some cinnamon. He never knew that I used 1/2 whole wheat flour!View Thread
Funny you should ask Michelle. Today we all had a talk and they seem to be ready to start planning. They just emailed me a first draft guest list. Maybe things will proceed now. I haven't said anything cause there's been nothing to say!View Thread
Rainbow today was an orange, a smoothie of a banana, cherries, blueberries, strawberries and a splash of pomegranate juice. I had a salad of lettuce, arugula, red onion, radicchio, endive, and cucumber. I had some tomato salsa and some kalamata olives. Ever since I got rid of bottled dressing I want salad every day. This is all because of you Judy. I thought I ate enough variety, but I wasn't paying attention and now I know better. Thanks View Thread
I'm hanging in Michelle. I've been posting more on FB because it's a lot easier on my phone. I'm keeping up with my fruits and veggies really well, but I still don't have my calories under control. It's a daily struggle.View Thread
