I definitely get on particular food jags. Today was exactly the same as yesterday's meals except I swapped out the pea soup for Beef Barley soup at lunch. Our local market puts out 6 hot soups every day. Some they make from scratch and some are purchased but they are much better than canned. I've been checking the web site everyday to see what the variety is and if It's one I like, then that's lunch. It's been so cold and snowy that soup hits the spot!View Thread
Haha! Well I don't know how Elizabethan they are but I've always eaten crumpets. Remember I'm in New ENGLAND! A crumpet is similar in shape to an English muffin, but very different. Think of the bottom half of an English muffin. The bottom side is very smooth and the top side has little holes all over and when you put some butter on it slides into the holes. It has a different texture, not bread-like at all, light and perhaps a bit sour taste. The one I had this morning had 86 calories.
I'm pleased to see there are still some regional food differences left in this country. I don't want to live in a world where we all eat Lutefisk! BLECH!!!
If you can believe it I think I am OVER cake. (See the little letters). I did some aversion therapy this fall and ate cake on Thursdays. After a while I was fatter but I was pretty sick of CAKE!View Thread
Breakfast this morning was a crumpet and a clementine. Lunch will be soup and an apple. I think its going to be pea soup. Dinner is still undetermined. It will take a trip to the store. I think, correct, I KNOW I'm going to have to start counting calories again. I just got so sick of it after over a year that I stopped, but since then the scale has only moved in the wrong direction. It's so discouraging, but I'm just going to have to play the numbers again.View Thread
Howdy! It's like a monsoon today and I got soaked going to the doctor for my shot this afternoon.
Breakfast was a clementine and a crumpet. Lunch was a turkey burger with lettuce and tomato and some fries and a small cupcake. I will have a light dinner because lunch was delayed until 3pm and pretty heavy compared to what I'm used to eating mid-day.
Breakfast was a banana, orange juice and dry cereal. Lunch was Lasagna Soup and a clementine. I had never heard of Lasagna Soup but it was delicious! Dinner was a salad of endive, tomato and red onion with olive oil and vinegar, and a sauté of chicken broccoli and pasta. That was all okay, but then I went astray with too many munchies tonight. Some popcorn, dark chocolate, crackers, cheese and salami. One would have been a smarter choice. It's so easy to see that with hindsight.View Thread
I slept really late this morning. When I dream I'm always young, slender and fleet of foot so sometimes I just want to stay there a little while longer . This morning my DH had taken beautiful me to a jewelry store and bedecked me with jewels before we held hands and ran down a steep hill together...... So, I never had breakfast this morning.
I just had lunch and it was a bowl of roasted veggie soup, 5 low salt saltines with some Alouette cheese and an apple.
Dinner will be pork tenderloin, rice, side saladView Thread
Well I took a little vacation because I didn't see much point in talking the talk when I wasn't walking the walk. That's how you spell hypocrite. And of course I've paid the price. Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! (That's my scale crying) View Thread
That is so true about your ankle Judy. You make a good point about nagging injuries and I am listening! I'm going to start logging my food again on my Lose It app. I've let that slide this summer and I can see the difference.View Thread
