Make the Mountain Dew hard to get to...no vending machines, none in the house, no picking it up at the gas station or convenience store.
Start journaling those Mountain Dews and watch the calories add up and think "Is this worth it?"
I totally know where you are coming from. The regulars here have heard my confession that I still drink regular coke. Yes, every day. I have a single can of Coke. I limit it. I keep it out of sight. I made a rule that there is no Coke after 4 pm. I don't get it at the grocery store checkout line for the ride home. Unless I am on a trip--no gas station or convenience store sodas. No Coke until I have had at least one glass of water.
To start out you might want to just limit it to fewer each day. Count how many you have and then cut down to one fewer a day for a week.
If you are having trouble at 1500 but the weight is coming off, then you need to really watch the sloppy nutrition days. 1500 might be the right one for you and the problem might just be in the extra calorie days.View Thread
