I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you are not going to get anyone on WebMD to give you any type of diagnosis, it is against policy since we are not physicians and you really cannot be diagnosed online. You really need to see your pcp or a GI physician. They should be able to help you. Hope you get an answer to your questions. Take good care,View Thread
There is a really old wives tales stating by drinking one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar will stop acid reflux sounds crazy to me. Why are you looking for remedies and not taking an over the counter acid reducer like Prilosec or Prevacid? Hope you find the answers you are searching for. Take good care,View Thread
If he is getting SO bad than why has he not contacted a doctor or gone to the ER? He needs to learn to take care of himself and go to the doctor, just sitting at home not eating can get him dehydrated and even sicker. Please go to the doctor! I hope you find the answers you are looking for. Take good care,View Thread
You really need to see a gastoenterologist for this problem. Being worried about this for 5 years means there is some kind of a problem and you really need a doctor. You might want to wear a pad or Depends so that you don't get embarressed.
We all know what it feels like to discuss such a personal problem but the docs are used to it. Please go just so that you can clear your mind. WebMD does not allow us to give a diagnosis because you really can't be diagnosed over the internet. Welcome to our community and please come back and tell us what the doctor had to say about what is going on with you, it always helps someone out here to get a better grip on what might be wrong with them. I hope that you find the answers that you are searching for. Take good care,View Thread
There are several good probiotics to take that are over the counter. There is Culturelle, Align and then Swansons Ultimate that you can get over the internet. You really need to see a doctor if you are in that much distress and think a doctor is called for. Hope you find the answers that you are searching for. Take good care,View Thread
Just because there are side effects to a medicine doesn't mean that you need to take yourself off of it. You really need to be back on that medicine, you could be doing yourself worse damage by not being on it. When I was diagnosed with the same diagnosis I also was diagnosed with Crohn's disease which included severe diarrhea with abdominal pain. Please get back on your Prilosec and go see your doctor again. Ask more questions about the side effects and more about your diagnosis and recent symptoms. I was a nurse for many years and have seen the worst complications from people not taking appropriate meds for gastological problems.....bleeding ulcers requiring blood transfusions is number 1 on my list. Hope you can find the answers you are searching for. Take good care and welcome to our community. Please come back to tell us what your doctor had to say.View Thread
Did you see a gastroenterologist? If not you need to and if so you need to insist that he run other tests on you like C reactive protein and a sed rate to see if you have inflammation. There are other tests to run but you also might need to get a second opinion.
I am sorry no one responded to your previous post, sometimes if people don't know what to say they don't say anything. We are not allowed to offer a diagnosis cause you can't be diagnosed over the internet and it is against WebMD policy to do so. I hope you find the answers that you are searching for. I understand how miserable you are with this problem but you cannot be diagnosed over the internet. You need to tell your physician your symptoms and see what he thinks it might be. It is also against WebMD policy for us to give any type of diagnosis. I am really sorry that no one has answered you before this, the moderator usually hops on this. I hope you find the answers you are seeking. Take good care,View Thread
