sorry to hear that you haver this nasty things.. i myself have dealt with it a few times.. you will always run the risk of getting it.. you need to inform any Dr. you deal with that antibiotics may trigger it again.. i finnally contacted the CDC to get info and learned that now that i have had it once i willl can get it easily.. no dr. told me that.. i am in the hospital often as i deal with Divertic. i had one GI Dr. that did nothing for me.. i since changed Dr.'s .. you really need to do your own homework so to speak.. and if you GI or family Dr. tells ya not to then you need a better Dr.
but please don't just let a Dr. give you antibiotics as that is what can cause it.. wash your hands before you do anything that involves food or touching your face.. if you have anymore questions feel free to ask... been a long road and i still have a long road to go.. but i have found that i am my best advocit. but i will say look at the CDC website for C-Dif.. and if you go in the hospital and they know you have had it you will be labeld.. it is horrible..View Thread

one thing about this med is the funky taste it has.. they say mix it with juice.it is a powder u mix with 8oz. of fluid.
I will say I am so glad i changed Dr.'s to one that listens to me not not just do what they want.. good luck to everyone that is dealing with this.View Thread

i have tried to do surches on this is finding very little info on it.
if anyone has ever gone threw this or knows anything about it i would love to hear about it.. is there any side affects i need to worry about and does it hurt afterwards.
i go threw throat diffeliations about every one to 3 months.
i changed GI Dr.'s because the other one i had did not like the idea that i was doing my researches online.
the new GI Dr. did a streatch about 2 months ago and i started having swallowing problems less than a month after. so now they are doing this injection.

I had a Endo. with a dilatation done yesterday april 9th. the Dr told me i have a large Hiatal hernia. I go threw these almost on a monthly basis i changed Gi dr.'s as the one i had told me not to belive anythimng i read or was told except by him.. not what i wanted to hear. so the new Dr. is the one that is talking these shots.
If anyone knows anything please let me know i will be reading things that i find so that i have an open mind by the time we get to that point.
thanksView Thread

I am still havig issues with the stomach . the surgen told me i need to push the GI as there is still something not right.. he said maybe it's IBS.
i am going to be changing GI's here in about a week.so if anyone has any ifeas about what this might be i would love to hear them.. but i will say haveing been threw the surgery i would tell anyone that has had many bouts with it to think about itView Thread

I also have had many flair-ups of Diverticulosis over the past few years. In my case the paion was enough for me to goto the ER.
In my case tho i was always admitted for a few days to do the IV antibiatics as starting them at home never worked. well after 3 years and way to many hospital stays i had surgery done to remove the bad section . that was done on 11-17-11 and so far so good i think.. but i will tell ya watch what ya eat.. advoid nuts and seeds as they will make u have a flair up.
i hope that helps
